Unboxing the New Rolex Datejust 41 Green Ombré Dial 126300

This is one of our favorite Rolex releases of 2026: the Datejust 41 in Oystersteel with the new green ombré dial, Smooth Bezel, and Oyster bracelet, reference 126300. The Datejust has always been one of the easiest Rolex watches to understand. It is a daily watch, a dress watch, and a sports watch when it needs to be. This version gets something usually reserved for more elevated Rolex pieces: an ombré dial, done in green, from a brand whose own house color is green. And that is what makes the release work. Rolex did not overcomplicate it. You get a Smooth Bezel, an Oyster bracelet, a steel case, and then one perfect hit of color.

Case, Size, and Wrist Presence

The case is classic Rolex Oystersteel at 41mm. Rolex officially lists the thickness at 11.7mm with a lug-to-lug distance of 47.5mm. We also weighed this watch in-house, and it came in at 150 grams on the Oyster bracelet. On a 7-inch wrist it has the right modern Rolex presence. It feels substantial without being oversized.

The rest of the case is familiar Oyster architecture: 100 meters of water resistance, a screw-down crown, and the case profile Rolex has refined for decades. Nothing about the construction changed for this release, and it did not need to.

The Green Ombré Dial

The dial is the real reason this release stands out. The green starts brighter in the center and fades darker toward the edge, which gives the watch depth, contrast, and a pop of color you can actually wear every day. That is the trick here. The green is very strong, but the execution is controlled. It feels special without being loud, and that is not easy to do.

The layout stays classic Datejust: applied hour markers with Chromalight lume, the date at 3 o'clock, and the Cyclops lens over the date window.

Smooth Bezel and Oyster Bracelet

I am generally a fluted bezel type of guy, but the Smooth Bezel really works on this variation. A Fluted Bezel and Jubilee bracelet will look great on this dial too. On this configuration, though, the Smooth Bezel and Oyster bracelet let the dial breathe. Nothing is fighting for attention, and the watch picks up a sportier, more effortless feel.

The Oyster bracelet wears thin, comfortable, and secure, and it matches the Smooth Bezel perfectly. You also get the Oysterclasp with the Easylink comfort extension, which lets you add about 5mm of room without any tools. It is a small feature, but on a daily driver it earns its keep.

Inside: Caliber 3235

Inside is Rolex's caliber 3235, the brand's automatic date movement with central hours, minutes, and seconds, an instantaneous date change, rapid date setting, and stop-seconds for precise time setting. Power reserve is approximately 70 hours, and the watch carries Rolex's Superlative Chronometer certification. It is reliable, accurate, and built for daily wear.

This Datejust works because it is simple but still has real beauty. Rolex rarely needs to reinvent the wheel; they know how to make a watch feel right, and the green ombré dial gives the Datejust a fresh personality without changing what makes it so wearable in the first place. You can wear it casually, dress it up, or travel with it, and for a lot of people this could easily be the only Rolex they need.
