The Everose Gold Case and How It Wears
On paper the 126515LN reads like a familiar Daytona, but in the hand it feels refined. The case is 40mm in Everose gold, about 47mm lug to lug, and the curved lugs and the case profile help it sit close, so it never rides high.
The case profile is flat and clean, which is why it wears smaller than the gold suggests.
Everose is solid gold, so you expect weight, but the Oysterflex takes a lot of it off. On our scale the whole watch came in at 158.4 grams, a little over a third of a pound. For us the meteorite dial is what makes this configuration worth talking about. Each dial is cut from a natural iron meteorite, so no two are the same. The Widmanstatten pattern, the crosshatch grain formed as iron and nickel cooled slowly over a very long time, gives the surface real depth. It shifts as the light moves across it, and it looks different at every angle.

The rest of the dial stays calm so the stone does the talking. There are three black sub-dials at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock, with gold applied markers and gold hands. It reads clean at arm's length and gets more interesting the closer you look. That combination is a big part of the appeal for us.
Cerachrom Bezel and Tachymeter
The warm Everose is balanced by the black Cerachrom bezel, the ceramic Rolex uses because it holds color and shrugs off scratches. The tachymeter scale is engraved into it and filled in gold, and it anchors the whole watch visually.
