What is "Frosted Gold"?
AP uses jeweler Carolina Bucci's diamond-tipped micro-hammering technique so the metal itself sparkles—no stones required. Thousands of micro-hits with a diamond-tipped tool transform raw gold into a surface with diamond dust sparkle. This innovative finishing technique creates a luminous frost effect that plays with geometry and light, making each piece truly unique. Carolina Bucci originally came up with the idea.
Movement & Ownership
All models run Quartz Calibre 2730 (hours/minutes). AP notes over 7 years of battery life and a crown-activated deactivation feature to preserve power; plan on periodic battery and gasket service. The deactivation switch via the crown pull allows you to pause the movement when not wearing the watch, extending battery life even further.
