Introduction

Today, we have a very special episode because we are commemorating 1000 YouTube subscribers! Thank you so much for all the love and support throughout this journey.

We want to show you guys a couple of watches that we feel are milestone watches, and nothing says a milestone watch like a dress watch. A dress watch signifies a refined, accomplished, mature gentleman with style.

You don't have to be that super dressy person at all times to appreciate a nice dress piece; most dress pieces look great dressed down with jeans and a T-shirt. On the other hand, a Royal Oak Offshore or Daytona can be hard to dress up. A dress watch can give you much more versatility than you might think.

1. Rolex Day-Date - White Gold with Olive Dial - (Ref# 228239)

Rolex Day-Date in full white gold with a fluted bezel, presidential bracelet, and olive-green dial.

The first watch we will cover is a Rolex Day-Date, Reference #228239. The case and bracelet are made out of white gold. We have an olive green dial with Roman numerals. This watch is probably the least dressy and the most sporty out of this list.

Still, some elements of the watch dress it up and give it more of a dressy, classy feel; the presidential bracelet oozes power, and the fluted bezel shines like no other. And, of course, the Roman numerals on the dial have a more formal feel than the typical Arabic numerals. All of these characteristics work together to make the watch super versatile. You can dress it up or down. So, overall, it's a great piece to have in your collection. This watch goes for $45,000.

If the Day-Date appeals to you, but you want something flashier, look at the rose gold version next:

2. Rolex Day-Date 40 - Rose Gold with Olive Dial - (Ref# 228235)

Rose Gold Day-Date on a presidential bracelet with olive green dial - ref# 228235

Reference number #228235 is the Rolex Day-Date in rose gold, and it's for someone who wants to stand out a little bit more. The green and rose gold combo is really beautiful and will definitely pop with a tux or, of course, be dressed down on an everyday basis. This one goes for $55,000.

3. Patek Philippe Annual Calendar Complications - (Ref# 5235/50r-001)

Patek Philippe Annual Calendar 5235/50R-001 Rose Gold case with two-tone graphite and ebony dial.

The Patek Philippe Annual Calendar Complications is one of the classiest watches on this list. It has a 40.5-millimeter rose gold case, an alligator leather strap, and a graphite ebony black dial. Because of this stunning dial, this watch can go with many different outfits and color schemes and will look tasteful in all of them. This watch goes for $45,000.

4. A. Lange & Söhne annual calendar - (Ref# 238.032 E)

Next up, we have the A. Lange & Söhne annual calendar, reference number 238.032 E. It has a rose gold case and features an annual calendar: an annual calendar adjusts the day, date, and month with minimal adjustment. In fact, if you keep it wound, it can actually stay accurate for up to 122 years.

When I see A. Lange & Söhne, I think of elegance, class, and the epitome of European design and fashion, from the dial to the complications. Even the case back shows that this watch is an overachiever, and everything about it goes above and beyond. It's another personal favorite, and it's on the market for $50,000.

5. A. Lange & Söhne Lange 1 Time Zone in 18-carat pink gold (Ref# 136.032)

The final A. Lange & Söhne on this list is reference number 136.032. This model has the same silver dial, but it has a yellow-gold case that measures 42 millimeters and a reddish-brown leather strap.

What's really cool about this timepiece is that it has the "world time" time-zone function. If you push the pusher on the bottom left of the case, you can see all the cities on a ring around the edge of the dial and easily switch the time zone and adjust it to the city you're in. It also features the day-night indicator and the outsize date on the top right.

This watch is just another example of the beautiful watches that A. Lange & Söhne comes out with and how they're a little bit different compared to their Swiss cousins. This watch goes on the market for $50,000.

6. F.P.Journe BLACK LABEL COLLECTION - OCTA AUTOMATIQUE LUNE Calibre 1300.3

FP Journe Octa Lune - platinum case grand complication with blackened guilloché silver dial - 1300.3

As we move further along the list, we introduce F.P. Journe. Here we have the F.P. Journe Octa Lune from the Black Label collection. This watch features a 40-millimeter platinum case, and the dial has a really interesting black Guilloché silvered design. If you're not familiar with Guilloché dials, you can see that the middle has an intricate pattern, and then the outer ring is more smooth.

Complications:
This watch's date window is between the 11 and 12 o'clock mark, the moon phase at the 7 o'clock mark, and the small seconds at the five o'clock mark. The dial also features the power reserve between the 8 and 10 o'clock marks, which lets you know that this watch can go up to 120 hours of power, which is pretty impressive. This watch is going for $165,000.

7. Patek Philippe Nautilus - (Ref# 5711/1R-001) - Also featured in "One Watch Collections"

Patek Philippe Nautilus 5711/1R-001 - Rose Gold with Chocolate dial.

Next, we have the discontinued Patek Philippe Nautilus, reference number 5711/1R-001. It has a 40-millimeter case and comes in rose gold on the case and bracelet. The dial is a chocolate brown sunburst style that fades to black on the rim.

This watch is made for someone who likes a more flashy look to their dress piece and may not be into a leather strap. If you want to dress to impress, this watch is for you. Any business-person will recognize the Patek Philippe Nautilus at first glance of your wrist. This piece goes for $165,000. I mean, look at this wrist shot:

8. Patek Philippe Annual Calendar Chronograph - Blue Dial - (Ref# 5961P-001)

Patek Philippe Annual Calendar - Platinum case, Blue Dial, Baguette hour markers, bezel, and clasp - 5961P-001
Last but not least, we have the Patek Philippe annual calendar. This is reference number 5961P-001. It has a matte blue dial with baguette diamond hour markers, an annual calendar, and the star of the show: the 36 baguette diamonds on the bezel. It also features a navy blue alligator-leather strap, and 22 baguette diamonds are on the fold-over clasp.

When quickly looking at this watch, some might write it off as just a watch with some baguettes on it, but once you take a closer look, you'll notice the intricacies that Patek took their time putting into this watch. On the side of the case, you even have a tiny diamond hour marker to signify the six o'clock mark because the annual calendar covers it on the dial. With all the little details and time put into this watch, this is a certified Showstopper.

You could be a CEO or a Rapper; this watch really doesn't play by anyone's rules. This watch is for someone at the top of their field but didn't get there by following trends or trying to be like everyone else. This watch represents what Patek has always been, but it also represents what it will become in years to come. This watch is going for $180,000 which feels like a steal for the amount of watch you're getting.

How to choose the right case metal for your dress piece:

If you're going to purchase a dress piece, we would highly recommend you come in and try it on and make sure that the color of the precious metal flatters you. Typically, for people with lighter skin and maybe pale or pink or undertones, a rose gold option would look much better on your skin rather than yellow gold. And someone with medium to darker skin would look much better in a yellow gold. Again, these aren't rules but more like guidelines that will help you make the best purchase.

Conclusion
